Influence of Biofertilizers and Sulphur on Growth and Yield Attributes of Chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.)

A field experiment was conducted during Rabi season 2021-22 at the experimental of Crop Research Farm, Department Agronomy, Naini Agricultural Institute, Sam Higginbottom University Agriculture, Technology And Sciences, Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. India which is located 250 30’ 42’’N latitude, 810 60’ 56” E longitude, and a height 98 meters above sea level. The Experiment laid out in Randomized Block Design with 9 treatments replicated thrice based on one year experimentation. Biofertilizers like Rhizobium (25g/kg seeds), PSB Rhizobium(12.5g/kg seeds) + (12.5g/kg along different levels Sulphur – 15,20 25kg/ha were used as treatments. results revealed that significantly higher plant (59.3cm), maximum number Nodules/plant (7.8) dry weight (66.3g). Whereas pods/plant (67.6),higher seeds/pod (2.8), seed index (28.00 g),higher yield (1748.8 kg/ha), stover (2957.8 kg/ha) recorded treatment- 9[Rhizobium(12.5g/kg seeds )+ PSB(12.5 g/kgseeds) ( 25kg/ha)].
